Submission Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to Spinning Wheel Stories. We are currently accepting submissions for children's books, stories and artwork. Please carefully review the following guidelines to ensure your submission meets our criteria.

What We’re Looking For:

Stories: Picture books, early readers, middle grade fiction, and holiday-themed short stories appropriate for children ages 2–12. Please, no AI generated text.

Artwork: Original illustrations that complement and enhance children's stories. Artwork must be suitable for a variety of age ranges from 2 to 12 years old. Please, no AI generated artwork.

Content Requirements:

All submissions must be appropriate for a young audience. We are not accepting stories or artwork that contain graphic, violent, or profane content.

Themes should be positive, age-appropriate, and foster creativity, learning, and empathy.

We do not accept work that encourages discrimination, hate speech, or harmful stereotypes of any kind.

Please ensure your submission does not contain offensive language or inappropriate imagery.

How to Submit:

Please submit your manuscript as a Word document or PDF to editor@spinningwheelstories.com.

Your submission should include:
A cover letter with a brief introduction to your work and a short bio. A synopsis of your story (no more than 300 words). The full manuscript (for picture books, include the text and layout suggestions if applicable).

Please submit digital artwork in high resolution (300 dpi). Accepted file formats include JPG, PNG, or PDF. Include a brief description of your illustration portfolio or any previous work.

Important Notes:

We accept simultaneous submissions, but kindly notify us if your work is accepted elsewhere.

Due to the volume of submissions, we cannot offer feedback on unselected works.

All submissions will be reviewed by our editorial team, and we will respond within 4 weeks if we are interested in moving forward with your work.
